What is happening?

We know you’re wondering what is happening at Timo and especially to your account. In an effort to continue to improve customer first banking in Vietnam, which has always been our mission, we’ve reached a crossroads where we need to make some changes in order to offer you more. Unfortunately, this means that we need to end our partnership with VPBank effective DD/MM/YYYY.

All existing Timo account holders will no longer be able to access their accounts via the Timo App effective /MM/2020. Your funds and private information are safe and secure at VPBank.

To help you get through this transition, here are some details to help you make sense of it all. 

For existing Timo customers:

What will happen to your accounts and your cards?

  • Your napas Debit card & Mastercard Credit can continue to be used across the nation at ATMs and POS terminals till DD/MM/YYYY. After this date it will no longer be operable. 
  • You will no longer be able to move Money (transfer), receive money (remittances), pay bills, pay your credit card, redeem or open a new Term Deposit or Goal Save (for Vietnamses customers only) via the Timo app and web app
  • Your account balance will no longer be updated and will be suspended as of 20/01/2020.

To continue using your account without interruption, here’s what you can do: 

  • Immediately take action with your money with the support from VPBank: you can visit any VPBank branch for assistance in regard to your account such as: 
    • Withdrawing funds from your Timo Account via any VPBank Branch  
    • Close your account should you wish by submitting your valid ID and visa (foreigners only) at designated VPBank Branches
    • Dial 00000000 to connect to a VPBank representative to assist you with details of your account and how to continue to operate it
    • Register for VPBank Online banking to access your account.
  • Recurring payments 
    • Update any standing instructions set up in the Timo App towards Goal Save or Mastercard repayment
  • Re-issue of Debit / Mastercard Credit Cards
    • You will need to visit a VPBank branch to apply for a new Debit /Credit Card
    • Any new Debit/Mastercards issued by VPBank will be applied VPBank’s fee schedule
